Give to Cal-Nev Disaster Response

First an earthquake that damaged or destroyed 1,604 structures, then three major fires that burned 192 homes.

Countless people are displaced, and some will be that way for years until their homes are rebuilt.

Outside of Oakhurst, 30 homes burned, including that of a UM pastor in Salinas.

FISH

FISH says THANK YOU for our February grocery bag blitz. Even though the rain was pouring down on the delivery Sunday, we were able to contribute 481 pounds of food and a number of cash donations to FISH.

Here is an interesting statistic that FISH shared with us. In January 2014, 6000 pounds of food was donated to the hungry. This is a 6% increase over a year ago in January 2013. The need is greater this year and expenses are up since FISH has moved to their new location.

Our Mission

We the people of First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa commit ourselves to the mission of growing loving communities of faith centered on Jesus that express themselves through both personal spirituality and social responsibility, reaching up to God and reaching out to all people in God’s love.
