Rev. Lindsey Bell-Kerr
Originally from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Pastor Lindsey attended American University in Washington, DC. After completing an undergraduate degree, Lindsey worked as a young adult missionary through the General Board of Global Ministries, serving in Mindanao, Philippines in 2007-2008. From Mindanao, Lindsey moved to Berkeley, and attended Pacific School of Religion, receiving a Masters of Divinity in 2013. Lindsey was appointed to FUMC in 2013, and additionally to Christ Church United Methodist also in Santa Rosa) in 2016.
Lindsey’s calling within the local church centers on discipleship and spiritual growth, and how this leads to social transformation. Within Santa Rosa, fruit of this transformation may be found in working toward full equality for immigrants, better social services for those experiencing homelessness, and affordable housing for all. Lindsey is privileged to work with community partners such as Catholic Charities of Santa Rosa and VIDAS Legal Services.
Within the wider church, Lindsey works with the California-Nevada Philippine Solidarity Task Force, and serves as communication lead on the United Methodist Queer Clergy Caucus Lindsey is married to Pastor Diana Bell-Kerr, who serves at St. John’s United Methodist in Rohnert Park. They live in Santa Rosa with their dog, Fozi.
