Rev. Janette Saavedra

I grew up in the parsonages of this Annual Conference, and as a young adult heard a clear call to lead congregational ministry. In pursuing this call, I moved to Washington D.C., to attend Wesley Theological Seminary, where I graduated cum laude with Master of Divinity and Master of Theological Studies: Old Testament degrees. I also earned a specialty in Deaf Ministry.

I have been under appointment in the California/Nevada Annual Conference since 1992. Prior to arriving in Santa Rosa, I served in San Leandro, El Cerrito, Mountain View, and Clovis. I have experience with Fijian Language (Vakaviti) ministry and with Hmong ministry.

I drink tea, not coffee. I find the vineyards here are beautiful, but I do not drink wine (or any other alcohol-related beverages).

Among others things, I especially enjoy spending time with family.

YOU are my family now! I am eager to meet all of you and to learn your stories. Together let us discover where our deep passions intersect with the world’s deep needs so that we can bring the gospel to a world hungering for meaning and love.
