creative arts ministry

At First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa, we support a diverse, high-quality creative arts program, as exemplified by our long-standing history of excellent church music & drama offerings. Besides the weekly presentations by our music groups who enhance our worship experience, we also offer special worship skits, seasonal concerts and theatrical shows (produced either at our modern Stony Point Community Worship Center or our traditional “Montgomery Stage” in Fellowship Hall at our Montgomery campus), and visual art displays that enrich the life of our church family.
The Montgomery campus sanctuary was beautifully remodeled during the fall of 2007, which supports our Creative Arts work in new and wonderful ways. Many community music and theater groups from throughout Sonoma County now come here for their rehearsals and performances.
Because of these growing opportunities, a group emerged to help administer some of these programs. Known as the Creative Arts Ministry Advisory Board (CAMAB), their vision statement reads, “To use the creative arts in worship and outreach to help people grow closer to God.”
Our church supports 3 dedicated and talented Creative Arts staffers. They are:
