Worshiping together is an expression of the life and spirit of our community of faith. It is not so much about the different things we do in worship, or even the style in which we do them; rather, it is about what we each bring to worship, our attitude and enthusiasm, to create the welcoming and loving spirit that is FUMC.

Involvement Opportunities
For Kids: Students in grades 3-6 are invited to join our group of worship service candlelighters. These young people (called “acolytes” at Montgomery, and members of the “Sonlight Team” at Stony Point) light the altar candles at the beginning of the service. Training is provided. Call the church office for more information.
For Adults: We United Methodists enjoy a warm welcome, good conversation, and a hot cup of coffee. If you’re interested in serving as a greeter, an usher, a coffee server, or a member of our Welcome Committee, please call the church office for more information.
For Our Chefs: If you enjoy cooking, you might want to consider becoming a Spirit Café Chef. It’s a rotating schedule so you wouldn’t be called on more than once a month.
