The Reverend Blake Busick has been a Pastor in our Annual Conference since 1984 serving United Methodist Churches in Greenville and Taylorsville, Patterson, Fremont and Cupertino. Prior to this he graduated from the University of the Pacific and received his seminary education from Boston University School of Theology. He also has a Doctor of Ministry degree from Pacific School of Religion.
He and his wife Peggy will celebrate their 30th wedding anniversary this year and they have two adult children: Matthew who lives in New York City and works for a company called Knewton and Meghan who is a recent graduate of UC Davis.
Blake describes his vocation as follows:
From the very beginning of my ministry, I have felt called to change the world that God so loves. I pray and labor for God’s reign to come on earth as it is in heaven. I believe that the local church is the most effective and strategic means for this transformation, which happens as a result of disciples growing and multiplying. This is why I believe everything is about discipleship. Maturing in Christ is not just for the benefit of individual disciples, but it is the way God changes the world. I see my role as a Pastor of the church as one who leads this transformation through the means of discipleship.
