FUMC is Forming a Drama Team—
and we hope you will want to be a part of it!
Whether you’ve had previous experience in drama here at FUMC or elsewhere, recently or in the past, or if you’ve just had an interest in drama but never knew where to “plug in,” we urge you to attend an informative meeting on Wednesday evening, July 30, 7 pm, at the Stony Point Ministry Center.
We’ll talk about how drama can be used effectively in the church, hear testimonials from those who have participated, talk about the skills and interests needed to develop a strong FUMC drama team, and do some play reading just for fun and experience. If you have any interest or experience in drama—including directing, staging, costuming, lighting, and sound—we want YOU! You’ll be under no obligation—but we want you to come to this meeting and, hopefully, you’ll be interested in being a part of the Drama Team.
You may have seen FUMC’s recent, great production of Riches to Rags, or the occasional drama skits presented during worship services—so you know there are a number of us at FUMC who enjoy producing drama, and performing. But, we need more people who are interested and willing to be called upon to help create good, inspirational, and fun dramas: readings, short skits, full-length plays and musicals, writing and/or researching scripts.
