Doug Albertson has been the full-time Director of Creative Arts Ministries since 2002.  He previously taught choir and musical theater in Oregon, California, and Alaska.  Doug has worked in the Creative Arts field with all age levels.  His senior and junior high school groups consistently earned top honors in regional and state contests. Doug has been adjunct music faculty at 3 different colleges, and he held a 2-year teaching assistantship at Portland State University where he earned his M.S.T. degree in music education in 1992.  He has studied, performed, and recorded with many professional musicians throughout his 30+ year career.

Doug enjoys and is strongly committed to developing and working with all types of artists in the church and surrounding community.  He directs the 40+ voice Chancel Choir, the Women's Gospel Singers, and the Circle of Friends.  Doug also supervises three part-time staff musicians in addition to his various other administrative duties.

Other aspects of Doug's life include being a husband of 27 years to Shelly, a father to 19 year-old daughter Avery (who's now on scholarship attending the Univ of San Diego), a reader and golfer, and a Sonoma County Harvest Fair 2010, gold medal-winning olive orchardist on their Santa Rosa property called "Bona Vita Heights."
