NAMI Sonoma County works to provide help, hope and healing for those affected by mental health challenges.
EDUCATION
Peer to Peer
- Opportunity to learn more about personal mental health challenges
- Benefits from being around others that know what it’s like meeting these challenges
- Nine-week structured course for those interested in developing relapse prevention
Family to Family
- A structured series of 12 classes for families and friends of persons with persistent brain disorders
- Emotional support co-taught by family members designed by a family member / mental health professional
- Development of problem solving skills, self-care, and communication techniques
- Advocacy for better services
NAMI Parents and Teachers as Allies
- Two-hour, in-service program for school professionals and families designed to better understand the early warning signs of mental illnesses in children and adolescents and to communicate and intervene

NAMI Sonoma County Helpline
- Free telephone service from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm, Mondays through Fridays staffed by family members at (707)527-6655

- Held monthly in a classroom - pertinent mental health-related topics

NAMI Connection
- Weekly drop-in for individuals facing the challenges of recovery from any serious mental health challenge
- A safe, confidential place to share and learn from one another
- Weekly art class for people with mental health challenges - Tuesday 2:00-3:30. Drop-ins welcome

NAMI Sonoma County is funded through membership fees, donations, grants and fundraising efforts.

Limited Income Membership (one person) $3.00
