Past Events:
May 18 - Picnic on Angel Island
Blue waters and blue skyies greeted FFGers as we set off on the Tiburon Ferry to Angel Island. We hiked around the island encountering living history as we paused to chat with folks dressed in period costume; firing cannon, baking cinnamon rolls, bivouacking in the field. We had a sumptuous picnic and watched the sailors practicing for the America's Cup races. Such sailboats! Thank you, Frey's, for hosting such a fun event!

April 20 - Murder Mystery/Potluck Dinner
"Murder on the Grill"
Thank you Joanne and Eric for a ROCKIN' time!
The victim: Tom Dooley, owner of "Honest Tom's Used Cars"
The setting: Tom's back yard.
Vince Poggi as Johnny Angel, Tom's Mechanic
Peg Ferrell as Bobby Sox, Tom's sweet little sister and national hula hoop champion of 1958.
Doug Howson as Chubby Cheddar, a Rock 'n' Roll musician who's finally made big in the music biz.
Bonnie Howson as Barby Q, the dazzling blond divorcee next door
Mike Ferrell as Ivan Spudnik, a Russian rocket scientist who recently defected to America.
Michelle Poggi as Tiara (and her twin, Hope) Diamond, Tom's pretty fiancee and the newly crowned Miss Kansas City.
Bill Spice as Dan Dragnet, a TV actor.
Robynn Spice as Peggy Sue, a newspaper gossip columnist.
Who done it? That's for you to guess because what happens in St. Louis, stays in St. Louis!

Mar 16 - St. Patrick's Day Hooley

Thank you to Johanna for an exceptional St. Patrick’s Day party! The movie was funny, the food spectacular, and the company was the best! No pictures will be posted so no one has to deny (or explain!) anything.
Sláinte mhaith!
Feb. 23 - WOW Brunch & Museum
On Saturday, Feb. 23, 11 FFG’ers met at Worth Our Weight for a wonderful brunch. (If you’re not familiar with WOW, they provide restaurant training for at-risk youth and young adults, giving them skills with which to further their own careers.) The staff was very courteous, and the food excellent. After our tasty repast, off we went to the Sonoma County Museum to see the exhibit, Mail Call: postal delivery system to armed forces through the decades. It was an educational and entertaining display. We wrapped up a fun day with a cappuccino and memories of a leisurely day well spent! Thank you so much, Michelle Higgs, for putting together such an interesting and diverse day of activities!!

Jan. 19 - Wine and Chocolate
A big Thank You to Catherine and Scott Doty who hosted the January FFG event at their home. The group enjoyed a heady selection of fine red and white wines (and non-alcoholic wines too) paired with gourmet chocolates from local chocolatiers. Dessert was topped off with some down-to-earth fare: French bread with crab dip, chicken kababs and gourmet macaroni and cheese. With tummies nicely sated, folks curled up for a showing of Chocolat. Thank you, Dotys, for such a fun, and delicious, event!

Dec. 22 - Sing-Along Messiah
On Saturday FFG met at the Olive Garden in Rohnert Park for a delightful dinner, then offto the Spreckles for Sing-along Messiah. Some of us sang. Some of us hummed. All of us were overwhelmed with the soul of music and the spirit of Christmas. Thank you Michelle and Joanne for pulling together this wonderful Christmas event!
Nov. 10 - Celebrate Democracy
Are your sick of politics? Ready to poke some fun at politicians? Turns out, a LOT of people are! On Saturday, Nov. 10, 20 people met at Olsen's to celebrate our freedom from election campaigning. They showed their colors by wearing the Red, White and Blue. A dinner of barbequed hotdogs, chili and salads, and apple pie (of course!) was enjoyed along with political jokes and trivia. We snickered at select SNL presidential clips, and laughed out loud at the movie Dave. (I think he would've gotten more than one vote from the group!)

Oct. 20 - SRJC Bearcubs Football Game
What says fall more than football?! Join the Fun and Fellowship Group on our October event to the Clo Classic Football Game, SRJC vs. Foothill College, at Santa Rosa Junior College - Bailey Field. Plans are in the works for pre/post-game activities.
Sept. 14 - Potluck Dinner & Season Planning
On Friday evening 20 enthusiastic FFGer’s met at the home of gracious hosts Mark and Lindsay Frey for a terrific potluck dinner and to plan the events for the coming season. We were delighted to welcome several new members to our group: Joanne and Erik Knight and Robynn Spice (we look forward to meeting Bill Spice in the near future)!
