Angels' Attic

Angels’ Attic, a boutique-style thrift shop, is an outreach of the First United Methodist Church of Santa Rosa.

Founded in August of 2004, Angels’ Attic has a two-part purpose:

1. Assist those in need by offering quality used goods at low prices.
2. Donate all proceeds in support of local non-profit groups’ missions for the residents of Sonoma County.

Angels' Attic is on eBay! We place some of our more valuable items on eBay so we can take advantage of the broader exposure to potential purchasers.  See us at http://myworld.ebay.com/fumcangelsattic/

Since its inception, Angels’ Attic has given close to $60,000 to community outreach, including gifts to:

Interfaith Shelter Network
Children’s Village of Sonoma County
F I S H
Redwood Empire Food Bank
Meals on Wheels
Boys & Girls Club of Greater Santa Rosa
The Living Room
Santa Rosa Children’s Chorus
Court Appointed Special Advocates
Women’s Emergency Shelter
Giffen House Shelter
Redwood Gospel Mission
The Children’s Fund-Sonoma County
FUMC Youth Service Projects
FUMC Good Shepherd Fund
Life Works of Sonoma County
Bob Burke's Kids
ASES & Summer Camp Program (YMCA)
COTS (Committee on the Shelterless)
FUMC United Methodist Women (An ongoing donation has been given to the UMW because they were instrumental in the birth of Angels’ Attic. They, in turn, distribute that donation to projects supporting women and children.)

All proceeds are given back to the community. No proceeds are retained by the church nor are any utilized in the church budget.

How is this possible?

Angels’ Attic is entirely volunteer-staffed!

Volunteers hold the key to our success. Whether sorting through donations, pricing merchandise, assisting customers, or running the cash register, volunteers are vital.

We need you!

To keep this ministry humming, we absolutely must have volunteers. There are two shifts per weekday and one shift on Saturdays. Whether you can offer only a few hours a month or want to sign up for a regular weekly shift, we welcome you to this friendly group!

If you cannot work a store shift, we have plenty of other ways you could help such as pick up and deliver donations, store maintenance, internet announcements and for sale listings, computer assistance, small appliance or clothing repair , etc. . . . or perhaps you have expertise in some other area not mentioned.

To volunteer or get answers to your questions,
please contact either of our store managers, Tamara or Kellie, or call the store.— 284-8659

Donations

Donations of both merchandise and cash are gladly accepted. Merchandise must be clean, in good repair, in working order, and complete. While we have greatly expanded our showroom space, our workroom (where receivables go and where sorting and pricing is done) is very small. If you have only a few bags or boxes of items to donate (3-4) you may drop them off anytime during regular store hours (Monday - Saturday). However, if you have a large quantity to donate or have furniture pieces to donate, please call or email the store managers so that we can make arrangements to accommodate your gifts. In the case of furniture, either large individual items or multiple items, we would need to come by to see the items to determine if we have sufficient space either in the store or in storage. Then arrangements can be made to pick up the items or have them delivered.
Thank you!
